Tuesday Ten: Rhonda’s Beauty Regimen!

1.  Drink at least 10 glasses of 8 ounces of purified water!
2.  Green drinks are great for your skin, as long as they are low in sugar, juice your own at home in the blender, adding agave instead of refined sugar.
Kale drinks with spirulina is the way to go.  My favorite is Athletic Greens sold at Whole Foods, that contains organic superfoods, digestive enzymes, and probiotics.

3.  Wash your face when you wake up with tepid water and a soft wash cloth.  Use a toner (my favorite with Rosewater from Lancome) to even out my skin tone before applying my facial cream and makeup.

4.  I think it’s important to moisturize. Here are two lotions that I swear by! My favorite lotions I use when I am apply more natural makeup is by Clinique. However, when you need to wear heavier makeup then use La Mer lotion because it fills in your pores and makes your face look extra matte.

5.  Before and after makeup application is crucial
Use this spray before makeup:

Use this spray to set your makeup for the day:

6.  Continue to spray and dab your face with clean cotton pads throughout the day to add moisture with this from Kiehl’s: ‘Cactus Flower & Tibetan Ginseng’ Mist. This cooling, refreshing mist purifies and hydrates your skin. It gives your skin new life with every spritz.

7.  End the day with cleaning and cleansing! Eye Makeup Remover, pure and natural, at Whole Foods, Jason!  Gently Priced!

I Fell in love with Tata Harper years ago when I interviewed her at Neiman Marcuc NorthPark Center, such a Zen guru and everything is natural! This is what you want on your face when  you drift off to slumber land!
All Natural!

TATA HARPER Purifying Cleanser

It’s for all skin types, but I like this nourishing oil cleanser.

Restorative Eye Cream: Daily age defying eye treatment helps reduce appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and dark shadows. It leaves your eye area looking brighter and younger.

8.  Tata Harper has the very best travel kit!

9.  Exfoliate: I exfoliant every three days, this should always be with a light hand with upward movements, and no pulling.  Use tepid water, never hot water!
Obsessed with all products from ZENJENN, but the green tea face scrub is very gentle for my skin!  Jenn body scrubs, salts, oils along with the facial products are amazing!  “Taking care of your whole self”!

Great Ways You Can Help The People Of Mexico And Puerto Rico!

Our help is now needed in Mexico and Puerto Rico. If you’re looking for a way to contribute, please consider one of these fine organization that have indicated they are ready to help earthquake and hurricane victims. Visit the websites to learn more about each organization, and to find out if donations are tax deductible in the U.S.

Note that some of the organizations, especially in Mexico, have websites written in Spanish, so we’ve indicated some that are in English. If you land on a Spanish language page and don’t speak the language, many have a button or link marked “English” or “Inglés.” Connections may be slow due to the infrastructure impact of the recent disasters and/or because many people are also giving generously.-CBS

How You Can Help Houston!

Screen Shot 2017-08-30 at 12.14.20 AMIt’s been a truly devastating time for all of us Texans because of Hurricane Harvey. The situation is only getting worse. It’s already dropped over 2 feet of rain. It has flooded homes, streets, and more. It has made so many evacuate their homes and people are still in danger. The situation is still unfolding and we ask you not to not only send your prayers, but let’s do more. People really need your help during this time and there are many organizations that will be ready to take your donations. There is not donation too small.

“Sadly, only 17% of homeowners in the eight counties most directly hit by Hurricane Harvey have flood insurance policies. More than 80 percent lack flood insurance which will leave countless bankrupt, destitute, and financially ruined. Typical home insurance covers wind damage but fails to cover flooding. Homeowners often have to purchase a separate flood policy from the National Flood Insurance Program which runs anywhere between 500 to 2000 dollars a year depending on your location. Individuals will become heavily dependent on FEMA; yet this is a terrible substitute for flood insurance. The grants are typically capped at 33,300 and many individuals receive much less. The difficult and trying times our fellow Texans face can be ameliorated with our support, love, and compassion. Many great charities around doing noble and life-changing work.”-Dr. A Mahmood
